Day 2

Day 9

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful and diverse park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 49 minutes, covering a distance of 145 km.

Upon arrival at Lake Manyara National Park, you will meet your ranger and embark on a walking safari. Walking safaris are a unique way to explore the park and get up close to the wildlife. Your ranger will guide you through the park's different habitats, including acacia woodlands, water forests, and the lake itself.

Tarangire National Park

The drive to Tarangire takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes, covering a distance of 181 km. Along the way, you will pass through the Maasai Steppe, a vast and arid landscape dotted with acacia trees and Maasai villages.

Upon arrival at Tarangire National Park, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive in the park. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants, which can often be seen congregating around the Tarangire River, the park's only permanent water source.

After breakfast, you will depart for Namanga Border Crossing, located on the border between Tanzania and Kenya. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, covering a distance of 172 km.

Upon arrival at Namanga Border Crossing, you will need to complete the necessary formalities, including presenting your passport, visa, and yellow fever vaccination card. You may also be asked to declare any goods or currency that you are carrying.

Once you have completed the formalities, you will be able to cross the border into Kenya and continue to Amboseli National Park. The drive to Amboseli takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, covering a distance of 81 km.
