Nairobi - Masai Mara

We will pick you up from your Nairobi Hotel, residence or the Nairobi airport. In your private 4 x 4 Jeep, we’ll journey out to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The land will get increasingly dramatic as we enter the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

We’ll make stops along the way to refresh and view the impressive features of the escarpment. Then we’ll continue or drive exploring the scenic features through Masai Land, perhaps getting glimpses of the colorful herdsman along the way as we approach the reserve.

We arrive at the Masai Mara at about lunchtime, which we’ll enjoy at our chosen accommodation. Relax until evening for our 2nd Game drive in this ecosystem. We make our game drive until sunset and return back at our Camp/Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara

We’ll be up early to view the park’s abundant wildlife, said to the densest of any park in the region. This will be a day of unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past the distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains.

After early breakfast with a picnic lunch, you will spend a full day exploring this unique park which forms the northern part of the famous Serengeti National Park. You will have the chance to visit Mara River the border of Masai Mara and the famous Serengeti Park where there is a concentration of many animals especially the time you will be traveling. All meals and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The birdlife is also abundant, and should you be here during the season of the Great Migration (July – October), prepare yourself to witness the largest movement of animals on the planet.

Masai Mara - Nairobi

Our last safari day – let’s make the most of it with an early rise and game drive. By now you should be checking off your list of animal sightings but there’s always time for more. You’re sure to have seen zebra and gazelle but keep an eye out for cheetah moving through the bush, plus jackal and hyena. We’ll enjoy one last game drive as we exit the park on our way back to Nairobi.

A stop for lunch will break up the drive back to town. We should arrive back in Nairobi in the early evening and will bring you to your hotel, residence or the airport. You may also continue to the Kenya coast at Mombasa or perhaps to the island of Zanzibar.
