After breakfast, depart to Selous /Nyerere NP arrival for lunch, Afternoon boat safari along Rufiji River. Check in at Africa Safari Selous base on full board.

After breakfast, explore the Reserve by vehicle, full day game drive with packed lunch. Return to the Camp for dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Selous.
Few other safaris in Tanzania evoke the romance, mystique and spiritual delight of the African bush as one in the Nyerere National Park. Embracing 54,000 square km of south-western Tanzania, it is one of the largest protected wilderness reserve on the continent, three times larger than the Serengeti and twice the size of Belgium. Named after the legendary 19th century explorer and hunter Frederick Courtney Selous, the reserve was founded by the German colonial administration in 1905. It was later expanded to include traditional elephant migration routes and accommodate the vast herds of buffalo that roam this remote, untouched corner of Africa.

Day 5-7
Visit Mikindani Mtwara

After breakfast proceed to Mikindani (Mtwara old Town) with lunch boxes. Together with guided Mikindani tour. Check in at The Old Boma at Mikindani for dinner and overnight
A national monument, the Old Boma is a 100 year old fort, beautifully restored into a comfortable hotel with up to date facilities, whilst retaining its original features and charm. It is located on the side of a hill overlooking the Indian Ocean, providing breathtaking views from dawn to dusk. The spacious guest-rooms are furnished with hand-carved beds, Tinga Tinga paintings and other local handicrafts and are kept cool by high ceilings and thick walls, coupled with ceiling fans. A pool side bar is available, with the Old Courthouse providing shaded seating. Diving is available at the nearby eco2, a fully equipped dive centre which operates a fitted fibreglass dive boat and traditional African sailing dhow.
