Day 2

After breakfast, you'll head towards the starting point of your nature walk.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park + Walking Safari

Lake Manyara National Park + Walking Safari

Are you ready for the first day of safari? Where the plains of northern Tanzania meet the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a wonderful place to spend a safari day. Your highlights might include getting up close and personal with the elephants that made this park famous, many baboons, and one of the few African lion populations that spend much of their time in the trees. Between the forests at the foot of the escarpment and the lake that gives the park its name, you'll enjoy rich birdlife and the chance to see predator ambush their prey.

In the afternoon, you'll do a 3-hour walking safari which allows you to immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Lake Manyara. Accompanied by our experienced and knowledgeable guides, you will have the chance to explore the park on foot, discovering hidden tracks and trails, and observing wildlife up close, all while learning about their behavior and ecological significance.

Later you'll head towards the beautiful Marera Valley Lodge.

You'll depart after breakfast and head towards Serengeti National Park, where you will arrive around lunch time. The Serengeti is one of the world's most famous wildlife destinations. You'll explore the vast plains in search of the Big Five and other animals. The Serengeti’s scenery is also unforgettable – observe Africa’s iconic acacia trees, the park’s golden grasslands and great piles of boulders known as kopjes.

When you arrive at the lodge in the afternoon (after game drive), you'll have the chance to step out of the vehicle and continue your exploration on foot. A walking safari in the Serengeti ecosystem is an intimate encounter with nature, allowing you to feel the pulse of the land beneath your feet. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you'll move quietly through the grasslands, for about 2 hours discovering the smaller wonders that often go unnoticed during a traditional game drive. You'll start the day with a beautiful sunrise game drive. There's something truly magical about experiencing the African wilderness at sunrise. A sunrise game drive is one of the best ways to do so. The early morning is an incredible time to spot some of the park's most elusive and active wildlife, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. During the morning game drive, you will slowly head back to the gate where you'll arrive around lunchtime.

For 1-2 hours, you'll engage in a walking journey of discovery and a chance to connect with nature in the Ngorongoro Area. Accompanied by an armed guide, learn about the intricate relationships that bind these ecosystems together. You'll hear the stories of adaptation, survival, and coexistence that define this region. You'll start early in the morning with a hike on the Great Rift Valley wall. Wear good hiking shoes, the walk will be steep and rocky. Once you are on top you will enjoy the amazing panoramic view of Lake Manyara and Mto Wa Mbu. You’ll be surprised by all the green colors! You'll rest then walk down to the village.

Walking through Mto wa Mbu is an opportunity to engage with the locals and witness their way of life. Visit local artisans, observe their craft, and perhaps even try your hand at traditional activities, such as painting, banana beer brewing, or wood carving.
