Rongai Gate (1, 950m) to Simba Camp (2, 650m)

After breakfast, drive to the Rongai Gate on the northeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. Complete registration formalities and meet the rest of the climbing crew.
Start the trek through the lush rainforest, where you can spot wildlife along the way, and continue until you reach Simba Camp. Simba Camp is situated in a scenic area with excellent views of the plains. Accommodation will be in a spacious comfortable tent with a private toilet and hot shower. Staff manages all camp chores.
