Depart to Samburu National Reserve

You'll be picked up from Nairobi and enjoy the drive to the Samburu National Reserve established in 1948 as part of the enormous Marsabit National Reserve under the national park ordinance. You will arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife.
Samburu is home to the Big Five—elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, and buffalo. Other animals of interest are the gerenuks, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, gravy zebras, besia oryx, and the endangered wild dogs. It also contains over 450 species of indigenous birds and there are a variety of reptiles and aquatic species in the Waso Nyiro River. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You'll enjoy an early morning game drive in search of wildlife before sunrise. This is the best time for you to most likely get a chance to see a hunt before the overhead sun causes animals to hide, and return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, you'll enjoy yet another game drive for a chance to see animals not seen in the morning. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu - Aberdare National Park

You'll check out after breakfast, drive to central Kenya, and proceed to the Aberdare forests to enjoy lunch at the Aberdare Country Club. Then, you'll head to the Ark Lodge set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park resembling and named after Noah’s Ark. It comprises three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. So that you don’t miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
