On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by an Salvation Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at the Arusha tourist inn hotel in Arusha, a calm lodge located in the suburbs of the city with a natural set up of a beautiful garden awaiting your safari the following day.

Day 2

Early Departure to Tarangire: After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River. This vital water source sustains wildlife during the dry season, with dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Known for elephant families and majestic baobab trees, the park offers a chance to witness these giants in their natural habitat, alongside giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Predators like lions and leopards also roam the area. Tarangire boasts more bird species than any other place on Earth. In the late afternoon, proceed to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.
