Day 1

Today, embark on a one-day adventure along Kilimanjaro’s stunning Shira Route, beginning at Londorossi Gate (2,250m). Your journey kicks off through the lush rainforest, where you’ll experience Kilimanjaro’s unique flora and fauna. By midday, you’ll reach Shira 1 Camp (3,505m), where a packed lunch awaits, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Shira Plateau.

If time permits, you’ll continue your hike to Shira Cathedral, offering a glimpse of the dramatic high-altitude landscape, before returning to Shira 1 Camp. After taking in the views and exploring the area, you’ll begin your descent back to Londorossi Gate.

The day wraps up before 6:30 PM, with a comfortable transfer back to Moshi or Arusha, arriving between 7:00–8:00 PM. It’s a perfect day of discovery on one of Kilimanjaro’s most scenic routes.
