The area's year-round water supply sustains a diverse range of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and majestic African elephant. The crater is also renowned for its rich predator population, featuring lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. Explore Lake Magadi, a large alkaline lake in the crater's southwestern corner, known for flamingos, hippos, and various waterbirds.
