Leave Arusha Town soon for Tarangire National Park. Lured by its winding river over the dry season, herds of animals pour in to this park which boasts the highest recorded number of breeding species for any habitat in the world. The park boasts a huge elephant population, Rolling hills and open savannah dotted with the majestic “upside down” baobab trees, believed by the Maasai to be the first tree of creation, offers a picturesque background.

After breakfast set off to Serengeti national park with an optional tour of Olduvai Gorge. Serengeti national park is truly Tanzania’s best Known Park contains up to 3 million large animals. Wildebeest, zebra and Thomson gazelles make their continental migration in search of greener pastures within the endless plains of the Serengeti. The immensity of these plains is truly overwhelming.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After break fast descend down the crater Pass through a dense green canopy of forest and hold your breath, the entire world is laid out below in the largest perfect caldera. The 11 miles (18 km) wide crater has been compared with the Garden of Eden, with its swamps, lakes, rivers, hills and its prolific animal kingdom. The exhilarating drive from the crater rim down 2000 feet into the crater is truly unforgettable. Later in the afternoon you will ascend to Lake Manyara.

Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara

After breakfast enjoy game drive in Lake Manyara national park. The Park offers dramatic views over lush ground water fed forests and the stunning Lake Manyara. The forests are thick with Mahogany, sausage trees, star grass and other impressive varieties of flora. Wildlife is abundant, with over 380 species of birds. You can also experience a canoe trip on the hippo filled lake. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Arusha.
