Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by Rustic Safari's professional driver guide or representative and take you straight to your hotel in Arusha for relaxation, have dinner and overnight. Your adventure will start on the following day.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you will drive straight to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 2.5 hours. Tarangire is characterized by a mix of grassy plains, acacia woodlands, and the signature baobab trees dotting the landscape. Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant population, and visitors can witness herds of these majestic creatures roaming freely. Other common sightings include giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and various antelope species.

Tarangire National Park is a paradise for birdwatchers, boasting over 500 bird species.

You will have packed lunch boxes with you and will be served at a picnic site. After lunch, you will continue with your game-drive until later in the evening where you will drive to your hotel in Karatu for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) and descend down the crater which reaches a depth of over 600 meters (1,970 feet).

The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Tanzania. Often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. This geological marvel was formed around three million years ago when a massive volcano, possibly even taller than Mount Kilimanjaro, erupted and collapsed on itself. It's often described as a "natural zoo" due to the high concentration of animals within its confines. The crater is home to the "Big Five" – lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinoceros.

After having lunch, you will do a final game drive and head Karatu for a rest.

A visit to a Maasai village in Karatu is a unique cultural experience. The day begins with a scenic drive from Arusha or Karatu, passing beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, the Maasai welcome visitors with songs and dances.

A guided tour of the village offers insight into their daily life, traditional manyattas, and cattle herding. Visitors join in warrior activities like spear-throwing and the famous jumping dance. Elders share stories, and Maasai women showcase their beadwork.

A short nature walk follows, exploring medicinal plants and Maasai traditions. Before leaving, guests can buy handmade crafts as souvenirs. This trip provides a memorable and authentic cultural experience.

Drive to Arusha National Park which offers a perfect blend of wildlife, scenic landscapes, and adventure before heading to the airport. The day starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, followed by a short drive to the park. Wildlife sightings of giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. A stop at Ngurdoto Crater provides breathtaking views, while the Momella Lakes offer a chance to see flamingos and other water birds. For an added experience, a walking safari with an armed ranger, exploring the park’s hidden beauty up close. After the adventure you will have a picnic Lunch and a drive transfer to the Airport.
