Spanning nearly 3000 square kilometers, Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast elephant population and iconic baobab trees. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which traverses its terrain. During the dry season (from June to November), the park exhibits remarkable wildlife concentrations, akin to the Serengeti, as countless elephants and other animals congregate near the Tarangire River, their primary water source. Boasting various habitats and sustained water from the Tarangire River, the park hosts over 2000 elephants and a plethora of 500 bird species.
