Day 1

Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

After a briefing by our representative, your safari starts taking you through vast coffee, tea and pineapple plantations in the central region of the country. You pass through small but vibrant towns and villages past the foot of Mount Kenya – 2nd highest mountain in Africa. Continue further North to Samburu National Reserve where you arrive at your lodge in good time for check in and lunch. After lunch embark on an afternoon game viewing drives until sun drop when you return to your lodge.

Day 2

Start the day with an early morning game viewing drives and return to the lodge for mid-morning breakfast. Rest at leisure enjoying the lodge facilities followed by lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game viewing. If you opt you can have a visit to Samburu Manyatta (village). The Samburu community share lots of similarities with the Masai community yet so much difference in culture. Samburu National Reserve is characterized by dramatic scenery of scattered woodlands, dry grasslands riverside forest along the Ewaso Ng’iro River. You have a chance to spot Samburu big 5 species – Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Somali Ostrich which are only found north of the equator. The park also has a good number of lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes among lots of other game.

Day 3

After Breakfast you depart Samburu for Lake Nakuru National Park at the foot of Great Rift Valley Arrive at your lodge in time for a mouthwatering lunch followed by afternoon game drives at Lake Nakuru till sun drop. Lake Nakuru which is a good source of algae provides a perfect feeding ground for flamingos attracting thousands of them at one point. If lucky you will see Lions, Leopard, black and white Rhino, buffaloes, greater and lesser flamingo and many more wild game and birds.

Enjoy breakfast and then check-out of the lodge. Experience a morning game drive as we travel approximately 3-4 hours to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the natural world of savannah grassland of the great Masai Mara. The connection to the wild during game drives is purely authentic and can get quite emotive with each day offering a different experience. After the game drive return to the c for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you will embark on a full day game drive in the vast plains of Masai Mara with picnic lunch. Masai Mara is an all year destination characterized with rolling plains of grassland savannah with high concentration of game in this part of Africa. You have a chance to spot all the Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, Hyenas, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Baboons and a wide variety of wild birds. At times in the Masai mara you can spot 4 of the big five members in a record hours’ time. The reserve is well known for the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, thousands of zebras and other antelopes, which occurs between July - September. A visit to a Masai village gives direct connection to the traditional way of living by the Masai community. In the evening you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
