After arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha Local Airport, you will be picked up from the airport by a Dancing Simba Safaris representative and transported to your accommodation in Arusha town. Also depending on your arrival time, if you will arrival early, you may be able to explore Arusha town for a few hours.

Day 2

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Today, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop. The Park is also home to giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, groups of noisy monkeys and baboons, and tree-climbing lions. You will enjoy the game drive till late afternoon. Then, you will drive to your accommodation.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After a safari briefing in the morning and an approximate 2-hour drive, you will arrive at the Tarangire National Park. Giant baobab trees, bush savannah and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered as one of the best places to view elephants up close. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs from the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. Later, you will drive to your accommodation at Karatu Acacia Farm Lodge.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

You'll enjoy your breakfast from your accommodation at Karatu then drive to Ngorongoro Crater to explore the beauty of the place. Your safari guide will drive you directly to Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round supply of water and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to many animals including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, elks, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another big card for this scenic national park is its dense population of predators, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You'll visit Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. Large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl can usually be seen here. Then, your safari guide will drive to the picnic site for lunch. Your overnight stay is in the park.

Day 5

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

You'll enjoy a relaxing breakfast in your accommodation before driving to the famous Serengeti the home of the great wildebeest migration. You will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at midday you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes —short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen depending on the season. If it is the season of great wildebeest migration, your safari guide will drive you to witness the dramatic animals with thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes with other animals.

You'll have breakfast at your accommodation followed by a game drive in the Serengeti National Park searching for big cats and the Big Five. In the afternoon, your driver will set and prepare the table for a full hot meal lunch, soup, bread rolls, main dish, and fruit salad. This will be followed by a glass of wine/tea and coffee. Late in the afternoon, you will get back to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay inside the park with a beautiful view of sunset.
