Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport), you will be met by The Habitat Adventures Travel’s representative. You'll drive to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay, waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park - approximately 149km (92mi)

Early morning, after breakfast at around 8:00 am, you will have a short briefing before you depart for Tarangire National Park. The park, with its endless tree savannah, including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes, is also home to the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania. You are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gnus and other types of antelopes and gazelles. Your guide will open the roof of the vehicle for excellent wildlife viewing. A hot lunch will be served at around 12:30 pm at the picnic site, and after that, you will continue to explore this incredible park.

In the evening, after exploration, you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

Early morning, after breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the home of tree-climbing lions and a birds’ paradise. More than 500 species are present in Lake Manyara, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 species in a single day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants. Other animals that can be found here are giraffes, zebras, hyenas, buffalos, hippos, elephants and wildebeests. After lunch and extensive game viewing, we will drive to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Early morning, after breakfast at around 8:00 am, you will drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at a viewing point that has a built pavilion that provides a nearly 180° view of the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue your journey around the crater and descend to the other side. Enjoy your free “African massage” on the bumpy road, passing through Maasai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park.

At the Naabi Hill entrance gate, you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the endless plains of the Serengeti. A hot lunch will be served either at the gate or en route towards the heart of Serengeti with an incredible set-up by your guide inside the bush. The Serengeti National Park is home to the largest concentration of wildlife than anywhere else on the planet. You will have an unlimited drive until the evening, when you will drive to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-day game drive inside Serengeti National Park

Full-day game drive inside Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, at around 8:00 am or according to your preference, you will continue exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park for a full-day game drive. The park offers a multitude of wildlife, including the Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. At around 12:30 pm, a hot lunch will be served inside the park, along with some soft drinks and unlimited drinking water.

You will have an unlimited drive until the evening, when you will drive to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Today, after your delicious breakfast, you will depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater with an en-route game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. It is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world and an exceptional place to interact with the Maasai people.

On reaching the crater’s edge, the 20km-diameter caldera opens up before you in all its stunning glory, and you will descend into the crater on an adventurous trail. This World Heritage Site is seasonally home to over 25,000 animals, including a wide range of bird species, hyenas and the endangered black rhino. A hot lunch will be served at a picnic spot at the hippo pool, and after that, you will continue to explore the crater.

After exploring the crater, you will ascend it and drive to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
