Pick-Up and Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up and will have a short briefing from your guide about the safari if you didn’t have it the previous day. You will then depart for your scenic drive to the South-western part of the country. You will come across fruit markets, the scenery of different topographies, and diverse cultures along your journey. You will arrive in Fort Portal, dubbed “the tourism city” for a hot lunch. Your lunch will be followed by a short drive to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving for the afternoon relaxation and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Trekking and Nature Walk to Bigodi Swamp Community

After your early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kanyanchu Park headquarters in time for the briefing. After briefing about the activity, you will be assigned a particular tracking group and game ranger. Shortly, you will enter the jungle with your ranger who will keep in touch with the monitoring team on the ground to easily locate the chimpanzees. Also, keep your head out for beautiful forest birds and other forest species. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be given ample time to interact depending on their mood as the guide explains to you about their behavior and that of the entire forest ecosystem. Later, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the Bigodi Swamp Walk and community experience. Among the activities to excite you here include local liquor making, weaving of baskets, cultural dances, and also paying a visit to the cultural doctor. You will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation and an overnight stay.

Check Out and Departure back to Kampala

After breakfast at leisure, you will check out and transfer back to Kampala. You will drive through Fort Portal town as you embark on your journey to Kampala or Entebbe for your safe flight back home. Lunch will be in Kampala before drop off to your hotel or Entebbe for your flight back home.
