Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you will drive straight to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 2.5 hours. Tarangire is characterized by a mix of grassy plains, acacia woodlands, and the signature baobab trees dotting the landscape. Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant population, and visitors can witness herds of these majestic creatures roaming freely. Other common sightings include giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and various antelope species.
Tarangire National Park is a paradise for birdwatchers, boasting over 500 bird species.
You will have packed lunch boxes with you and will be served at a picnic site. After lunch, you will continue with your game-drive until later in the evening where you will drive to your lodge in Karatu for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Karatu to Ndutu Region
After breakfast at your accommodation in Karatu, you will drive straight to Ndutu region. The Ndutu region is situated in the southern part of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is a crucial area for the Great Migration as it provides rich grazing grounds and is a calving ground for many herbivores.
The migration in Ndutu is closely tied to the seasonal rains, typically occurring between December and March.
During this time, large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other ungulates move southward to graze on the fresh grasses.
Wildebeest and other herbivores give birth to their young during this period, taking advantage of the nutrient-rich grasses available.
