Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
After breakfast, we’ll descend into the crater for a five-hour game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world, boasting an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos.
Sustained by a year-round water supply and abundant fodder, the crater hosts a diverse array of animals, featuring herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Adding to the allure of this scenic national park is its substantial population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopards.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. In the late afternoon, we’ll make the journey back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
