Day 1

Arrival in Entebbe and drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Our driver guide will be ready to pick you up from Entebbe International Airport upon arrival.
Have a cup of coffee at Victoria Mall in Entebbe. Depart from Entebbe and head west towards Lake Mburo National Park. The journey typically takes around 4-5 hours, the road will take you through various towns, villages and settlements.

You will arrive in the afternoon, Check into your lodge and head straight for lunch.

Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo, as you cool off from the day's journey. This cruise provides an opportunity to see various wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
Return to the lodge in the evening for some downtime.

Day 2

Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi

Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi

Set off for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. The relatively open savannah tracks are good for game viewing as you will get a chance to spot wildlife such as zebras, impalas, elands, and more. During the dry season, the best viewing is often along the stretch of the lakeside track because animals concentrate along the swamps and lakes for water.

Depart from Lake Mburo and continue the road trip towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy the journey through scenic landscapes.

Arrive at Bwindi and check into your lodge Rest and prepare for the gorilla tracking experience the next day.

Day 3

Gorilla tracking and Batwa Encounter

Gorilla tracking and Batwa Encounter

On this day, you will wake up very early for your breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters where you will attend a briefing about your gorilla tracking activity.

You will join the other visitors in a group of 8 and head into the misty forest searching for gorillas. The gorilla trek takes you through the steep slopes and thick vegetation of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and it can last from 1 hour to 6 hours depending on where you find these gentle giants.

When you reach the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with them and get to see them interact with each other, groom, eat and play around. You will return to the starting point and receive your gorilla tracking certificate.

In the afternoon, after lunch, engage in the Batwa encounter, learning about the indigenous traditional way of life. Participate in their local activities such as dispensing traditional medicine and dancing to their folk songs.
Return for dinner at the lodge.

Day 4

Depart Bwindi and drive back to Entebbe

Depart Bwindi and drive back to Entebbe

After breakfast, we will check out of your hotel and drive towards Kampala. We will stop at the equator crossing in Kayabwe.

Here, you will have some water experiments that explain some physics. Imagine standing with one leg in the northern hemisphere and the other in the southern hemisphere. Also have some classic photo moments, lunch, and souvenir shopping.

You will then continue your drive through Kampala to Entebbe to your accommodation or to the airport to catch your flight out of Uganda.
