Situated on the border of the World heritage site of the Namib Desert and only 38km from the gate to Sesriem and Sossusvlei, your home for the next 2 nights will be the Elegant Desert Lodge. Wake to the multi-colored light of the splendid desert sunrise. Namibia is about magnificent sunsets, while sipping on your beverage of choice, before heading off to unwind around the blazing campfire in our African firepit. You might even be fortunate enough to encounter some of the wildlife coming to quench their thirst at the waterhole a few meters away. Early the next day you will embark on a guided excursion leading into the Sossusvlei. Don't miss the opportunity and climb up those dunes!

Planned activities for today: Early morning departure on a luxurious catamaran from the Jetty at the Walvis Bay Waterfront for a marine excursion in search of the Namibia Marine Big 5: Whales, Dolphins, Mola, Leatherback turtle and seals. While serving hot coffee and tea, the initial route takes you past oyster farms as the catamaran approaches Pelican Point with its landmark lighthouse and 60,000 resident Cape Fur Seals. You return to the Waterfront at around 12h30 and drive back to Swakopmund in your own flexibility.
