Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve by Road
After an early morning breakfast, around 6.30 am, our driver will transfer you to Samburu by road. The journey will be a scenic one. Leaving Nairobi behind you, you'll witness the bustling city life gradually fading. As you venture further north, the landscape morphs into rolling hills dotted with small towns and rural villages. You'll pass vast farmlands and open plains, where you might spot herds of livestock grazing peacefully.
Further into the journey, you'll approach the shadow of Mount Kenya, the country's highest peak.
As you near Samburu, the terrain becomes drier. The lush greens give way to semi-desert landscapes with thorny bushes and scattered acacia trees.
Once you arrive at the park, you'll check into Samburu Sopa Lodge which is inside the park, have lunch, and embark on an afternoon game drive.
After the game drive, you'll return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
