Opting for this route will see your adventure kick off at the Marangu gate (1,980 m), where it is essential to sign in at the Park Office. Take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting rain-forest, heading towards the Mandara encampment. Consider a detour to Maundi Crater for a splendid view of the surrounding landscapes, encompassing Northern Tanzania and Kenya.
Within the rainforest, be on the lookout for majestic Eucalyptus trees, diverse birdlife, and the playful Colobus monkeys.
Following a satisfying lunch, embark on a hike back to Arusha, then proceed directly to Karatu for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at the Marera Valley Lodge.

Mto wa mbu full day cycling tour
1: Village Tour.
Cycling in side the village look at homes and exquisite creft of mto wa mbu. Visitors will get a chance to meet locals and learn about banana beer, Makonde wood carvings and the community painting techniques, kisu and tinga tinga. A stroll through the village provide a great introduction to everyday life in Africa.
2: Farm Tour.
you will get inside the village farms where you will see the innovative farming practices of mto wa mbu villagers and learn irrigation system that sustains local crops including the 18 varieties of bananas.
3: Maasai Boma Tour:
visit a maasai boma and see the lifestyle of the legendary community up-close. Along with a guided tour of the boma and an introduction to the local population groups men will offer to paint traditional tattoos to you and even let you milk their prized cows.
4: Lunch At Mama's.
You will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal in a local mama’s home. Guides will provide a history of region and many local communtiy men.
