Day 1

Your four-day safari begins at the airport or your hotel early morning or at the agreed departure time with a brief by your driver-guide. Then, you will board your safari pop-up roof minivan en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. This is a 3-hour road trip from Nairobi to Nakuru City. You should arrive in time for lunch check-in at Ziwa Bush Lodge and get some time to relax by the pool.

You'll enjoy an afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird-watching, hiking, picnics, and game drives. You will enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. You will return to the lodge in time for dinner and an overnight stay at Ziwa Bush Lodge.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

On the second day of the safari after breakfast, you will proceed to check out and then have a road trip exploring the Great Rift Valley up to Narok town for a last-minute shopping and bathroom break. Then, you will head to Masai Mara and check in at Elangata Olerai Tented Camp. You will have time to take lunch, relax, and then head out for an afternoon game drive in the wild Masai Mara National Reserve.

All members of the Big Five, that is lion, African leopard, African bush elephant, African buffalo, black and white rhinos, are found here all year round. Blue wildebeests, topi, plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles migrate into and occupy the Mara reserve, from the Serengeti plains to the south and Loita Plains in the pastoral ranches to the north-east, from July to October.
The game drive will end at around 6:30 p.m. You will head to the lodge for dinner and a night's rest.

On the third day, you will start with an early breakfast and head to the jungle to look for wildlife and the elusive Big Five of the Masai Mara. Masai Mara is home to lions, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, hippos, zebras, leopards, gazelles, hyenas, and different bird species. You should have covered a lot of ground by the time the sun gets hot, which will be the ideal time to enjoy a picnic lunch.

An afternoon game is ideal to climax your game drive across the expansive reserve. You will return to the camp, have dinner, and rest for the night.

This marks the end of your 4-day safari extravaganza of magical Kenya.
