Your adventure begins upon arrival in Entebbe, where your Kange Safaris guide will warmly greet you.

You will receive a brief introduction to the itinerary and then embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you traverse Uganda’s scenic countryside, you'll pass through lush tea plantations, vibrant markets, and quaint villages.

You will have lunch en route, and upon reaching the park, you will check into your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day's adventures.

Day 2

Start the day early with a warm breakfast and head out for a morning game drive. This drive is perfect for spotting elephants, buffaloes, kobs, impalas, waterbucks, and warthogs, as well as searching for lions and leopards in the savannah plains. Enjoy the scenic views of crater lakes like Nyamunuka, known for its medicinal properties to animals.

You will then visit Lake Katwe, to learn about traditional rock salt mining methods passed down through generations. Witness the fascinating process of salt extraction while gaining insights into the daily lives of the people here and the economic significance of salt production.

After lunch, proceed to the jetty for a 3-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This offers prime wildlife viewing with hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds, and visiting elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes along the banks. After the boat cruise, return to the lodge for leisure and relaxation. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay as you continue your adventure.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, check out of your lodge and set off for Kyambura Gorge, also known as the "Valley of Apes." This verdant gorge is home to a troop of habituated chimpanzees. Embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure, where you will follow experienced rangers into the depths of the gorge.
The experience of watching these intelligent primates in their natural habitat is both thrilling and enlightening, offering a deeper understanding of their behaviour and social dynamics. It's a captivating experience that fosters appreciation for chimpanzees and their critical role in the ecosystem.

Following the chimpanzee tracking, proceed to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is well known because of its tree-climbing lions that majestically watch their wilderness from the trees. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day's adventures.

Day 4

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast and some free time to enjoy the serene surroundings of your lodge. Relax, take in the beautiful scenery, or enjoy the lodge’s amenities.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through Ishasha to search for the elusive tree-climbing lions. These unique lions are often seen resting in the branches of fig trees, a behavior rarely observed in other lion populations. The sight of a lion perched high in the trees is both surreal and unforgettable. Ishasha also hosts a variety of other wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and diverse bird species. Continue exploring the area, capturing incredible wildlife moments.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and reflection on the day’s adventures, savoring the experiences and preparing for a restful night. This day offers a perfect blend of relaxation and thrilling wildlife encounters, showcasing the unique charm of Ishasha.

Day 5

Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe

Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe

From Ishasha, you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Kampala via Mbarara and Masaka towns. Your journey will take you through beautiful countryside with farms, small towns and villages.
You will make a stopover for lunch as you visit the Igongo cultural centre to explore the museum, which offers insights into the culture and heritage of southwestern Uganda.

There is a vast collection of artefacts, exhibits of the agrarian and pastoral culture, history of political changes as well as present-day modernization of agricultural activities in Western Uganda.

It also has a crafts shop with a vast collection of local artefacts from all over greater Ankole.
You will also get to learn more about the 1520 AD Biharwe Eclipse monument that is situated atop the hill directly across from the hotel.

The driver will drop you off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport if you have an onward flight out of Uganda.
