Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our company representatives for meet and greet services. Alternatively, we can pick you up from your Nairobi hotel early in the morning. Leaving the bustling city of Nairobi, we drive to the Rift Valley circuit with a stop at the viewpoint to see the Great Rift Valley. Across the equator, southwards of Bogoria, lies the Rift Valley’s most famous lake, Lake Nakuru.

Known all over the world for its flamingos, it is alkaline and is recognized as being one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingos have always been the main attraction. At times, there may be almost 2 million flamingos in residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep-pink band around the edge of the lakeshore. You will arrive in time for lunch and then have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at the hotel, you will make your way to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will drive via a typical African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and attendant predators. We will arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with some time to relax before we head out for our afternoon game drive. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, let the cool, fresh air fill your lungs. You will feel invigorated and rejuvenated, ready for a great day to explore Kenya’s flagship park. Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop-up roof hatch and enjoy this unhindered 360-degree view and the possibilities for what lies ahead. A picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River as you watch the behavior of wild animals.

The Masai Mara is one of the lushest reserves in Africa and is globally renowned for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitat thanks to its relatively large populations of lion, cheetah, and leopard. We will also see many elephant, Maasai giraffe, common zebra, impala, Thompson's and Grant’s gazelle, topi, hartebeest, black-backed jackal, spotted hyena and more.
