Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will have breakfast at 7:00am and then be picked up by our driver-guide to commence your safari to Tarangire National Park. The transfer will take 2 hours, followed by a full day game drive. At the park, expect to see hippos, lions, elephants, zebras, pythons, oryx, buffalos, zebras, and more than 450 species of birds.

The name Tarangire originated from the Tarangire River, which winds through the parklands and is the only water source for wildlife here during the dry season. The park is also well-known for its large elephant herds, giant scattered baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. You will see a variety of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannah. You will also get a chance to see a lion stalking its prey and leopards relaxing in the trees above. Once the game drive is complete, we will drive you back to your lodge to relax, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

At 06:30am after breakfast we drive to the Ngorongoro crater. Enjoy an early morning game drive through the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself 2 to 3 million years ago. It is famous for its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations on the African continent. Your driver guide will take you down to the large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grass. Late in the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha.

We expect to be back in Arusha around 16:00 although we are flexible in case there is another situation.
