From there, you’ll embark on a scenic road journey to Tsavo East National Park. You'll see local villages and pastoral lands and enjoy the rich tapestry of colors and textures that define this part of Kenya, from the lush greenery near the park’s borders to the more arid, rugged terrain as you get closer to your destination.

You'll arrive at your lodge just in time for a delicious lunch and check-in before heading out for your first exciting game drive. Here, you’ll witness the famous ‘red elephants’ as they dust themselves in the red soil and marvel at the incredible diversity of animals and birdlife that thrive in this expansive wilderness.

You'll start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a scenic 3 to 4-hour drive to Amboseli National Park, including an en-route game drive through Tsavo West National Park.

Upon arrival at your lodge in Amboseli, you will enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive from around 3:30 p.m., when the Amboseli animals venture out for dinner. The park’s expansive, open terrain offers excellent visibility for spotting larger predators, while a small seasonal lake, teeming with vibrant flamingos after the rains, adds a striking splash of pink to the landscape.

Amboseli is renowned for its impressive herds of elephants, which are a standout feature of any safari here.
