After breakfast, you'll drive to Kibale National Park, the primate capital of East Africa. The journey passes through stunning scenery, including lush tea plantations and vibrant green countryside, with a stop for lunch en route. This biologically diverse area is home to over 120 mammal species, including baboons, chimpanzees, elephants, and antelopes, as well as about 370 bird species. These birds include the 23 Albertine Rift endemics, such as the Nahan's francolin, Cassin's spinetail, blue-headed bee-eater, and lowland masked apalis.

Kibale National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you'll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the flora and fauna found in Kibale. You’ll be assigned a chimpanzee group to visit, then begin your trek into the forest to find chimps, our closest relatives. Known as the primate capital of East Africa, Kibale also hosts other primates like red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and blue-cheeked mangabey. After lunch, you’ll enjoy a walk through Bigodi Swamp, spotting bird species like the great blue turaco and small monkeys like the black-and-white colobus.

Kibale National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic crater region, which features numerous crater lakes and beautiful countryside landscapes.
After lunch, go for a game drive. This savannah park is home to about 95 mammal species, including Defassa waterbucks, Uganda kobs, lions, topis, hippos, leopards, bushbucks, side-striped jackals, warthogs, spotted hyenas, African bush elephants, and Cape buffaloes, among others.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. Its diverse ecosystems—sprawling savanna, humid forests, lakes, and wetlands—provide habitats for big game, ten primate species (including chimpanzees), and over 600 bird species.

After an early breakfast, you will head out for an extended game drive to spot wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and various bird species. You’ll then return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking lakes Edward and George. The cruise offers close encounters with wildlife along the banks, such as hippos, elephants, and numerous bird species. After the cruise, enjoy more game viewing as you return to your lodge.
Set against the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains, the park’s striking landscapes include vast craters etched into rolling green hills, sweeping views of the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, buffalo, and elephants gather, and the wide Ishasha plains, where fig trees hide lions waiting to ambush herds of Uganda kob.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you’ll drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park toward the Ishasha sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions. After lunch, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the mountain gorillas. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for a relaxing evening.
The Ishasha sector remains relatively untouched, with only a few safari vehicles in the area at any time. Large herds of buffalo, along with Uganda kob, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, and topi, are common sights. The top highlight here are the tree-climbing lions, which are often seen lounging on the branches of fig trees.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the area and your upcoming gorilla tracking activity. You’ll then embark on an unforgettable journey. The trek may take as little as two hours or up to seven, depending on the gorillas' location. Once you find the gorilla family, you'll have a maximum of one hour to observe them.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. This is the smallest park in Uganda but is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, and numerous bird species.
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact gem, conveniently located close to the highway connecting Kampala to western Uganda’s parks. It is underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks over 500 million years old. The park is home to 350 bird species, as well as zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopards, hippos, hyenas, topi, and reedbucks. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before retiring for the night at your camp.

Lake Mburo National Park - Entebbe
After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in the park. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, then check out and begin your journey out of the park. You’ll return to Entebbe, with a stopover at the Uganda equator along the way.
