Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our company representatives for a meet-and-greet and briefing. You will then be driven north to Samburu National Reserve to arrive in good time for lunch. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park famous for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribespeople, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s zebra gerenuk, beisa oryx, and a host of other wildlife, including elephants and lions. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Explore Samburu National Reserve

Spend a full day in Samburu with an early morning and afternoon game drive. The reserve covers an area of 104km² (40mi²). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to a third of Kenya’s giraffe species, including the rare reticulated giraffe (only found in the northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali ostrich, the long-necked gerenuk, straight-horned beisa oryx, and the Big Five. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge in Samburu National Reserve.

Samburu National Reserve to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast at the lodge, you will be driven through the scenic plantation in the central region of Mount Kenya. We have a glimpse of Mount Kenya before arriving at the camp in good time for lunch. We will depart for a game drive in the wilderness in the afternoon. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the only place in Kenya where you can see chimps. It is also known for its famous efforts to protect the white northern and southern rhinos. There are also conservation efforts to protect big cats and elephants. Your dinner and overnight stay are at the camp.
