Today, you will be met by a Dav Safaris staff who will brief you. Afterward, you will head for the Kigali city tour where you will visit the Genocide memorial. After the city tour, you'll embark on a long day drive of approximately 5 hours from Kigali Rwanda to Uganda with a lunch stopover en route. Though long, the drive takes you through different features including tropical rain forests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you'll check in at the lodge and proceed to the Batwa community for the cultural adventure about these forest pygmies. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure as you wait for the next day’s adventure.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After an early morning breakfast, and your picnic lunch. You will then take a short drive to the park offices for a briefing where you'll meet the excellent local guides and trackers who give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. You'll then hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there. Trekking may take anything between 1 to 6 hours depending on the location of the family and altitudes which is more than 7500 feet. The terrain is rough and muddy calling for physical fitness. Although the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. It is recommended that you take plenty of water with you on the trek. Cameras and plenty of fast-speed films are recommended. Being a tropical rainforest, it may rain at no notice, hence need to bring with you waterproof clothing, including zip-lock bags for cameras. Later, you'll start on the long drive to Volcanoes National Park.

Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Lake Kivu Rwanda
On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast drive to the park offices for the briefing. You'll start the golden monkey tracking in the forest. This activity starts at 7:00 am at the park headquarters where you will head to the forest with other tourists in search of the endangered golden monkey. This takes about 4 hours or more of the golden monkey tracking adventure inclusive of an hour-long stay near to them where you view them rolling on the bamboo stems and present themselves with no shyness as it has been worked on through habituation and see the sights of their silver patch. From there, you will transfer to Gesenyi Rwanda with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Explore Lake Kivu
After breakfast at your hotel, you will head for a kayaking or a boat cruise in Lake Kivu that will give you a beautiful sea feel as you watch over local fishermen and several bird species at different corners of the lake. Later, you will head for lunch. After lunch, you will spend the rest of the evening refreshing and enjoying the sand on the beach.

Transfer to Kigali City
After breakfast, you will get set for a to Kigali city. You will transfer to the airport with the memory of the great rare mountain Apes. You'll have lunch en route, arriving late in the evening to be dropped off at your hotel or airport as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa.
