After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for Gorilla Trekking Briefing on dos and don’ts while you will be interacting with gorillas, afterwards you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide & hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Once you find them, you will be allowed to stay with them for an hour & After the experience return back to the lodge. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or Similar.

Please note that this is an optional 2nd Gorilla trekking & a ticket costs additional $700, alternatively you’ll go for golden monkey trekking Mgahinga Gorilla NP. After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for Gorilla Trekking Briefing on dos & don’ts while you will be interacting with gorillas, afterwards you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide & hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Walking safari Nkuringo - Buhoma, Bwindi National Park

Nkuringo is on the Southern side of the rainforest whereas Buhoma is on the Northern side, The drive between Buhoma & Nkuringo can take about 7 – 8 hours, depending on road & weather conditions, a more pleasant alternative to driving is a walking safari through the rainforest. There are two walking trails between Nkuringo & Buhoma:
The Ivy River Trail: This trail starts off with a 7km walk along a murram road with the rainforest on the left & the river on the right. Upon reaching the forest, the trail ascends & descends gently through beautiful areas of rainforest. A wide diversity of wildlife can be spotted during the walk, including monkeys, duikers, birds & many colourful butterflies. The Ivy River trail takes about 6.5 hours in total. Upon completion of the walking safari at Buhoma meet with your driver guide & transfer to Ishasha Sector, Queen Elizabeth National Park. Overnight at Enjojo Lodge or similar.

After an early morning breakfast, participate in a morning game drive. The drive through the Kasenyi Plains which is a spot for predators hunting the prey. The game drive provides you with an excellent opportunity to view animals such as jackals, bushbucks, forest hogs, Buffaloes, elephants & kob as they will be going about their daily routines. In the afternoon, head to a fantastic launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel & observe beautiful birds & wildlife. A Ugandan wildlife safari without a boat cruise safari on Kazinga Channel is considered incomplete. The channel attracts large concertation of wildlife & birdlife to quench their thirst & this boat launch safari would certainly expose you to these creatures. After the boat safari return back to the lodge. Overnight at Bush Lodge or similar.

The Uganda chimpanzee trekking experience is a unique opportunity that will allow you to follow a chimpanzee group in its daily activities. Accompanying Kibale reserve researchers & rangers, you will be on the forest floor to watch the chimps search for their fruits & vocalizing. Then you will follow them for an hour observing the full gamut of their behavior. You will be part of the Uganda Wildlife Authority initiative to trek the chimpanzees without changing their natural environment. It’s one of the great moments of your safari!
