Begin with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to honor the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Afterwards, drive north-west through Rwanda’s lush hills and vibrant market towns towards the Uganda border. After an early breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for a pre-trek briefing on gorilla trekking protocols. Accompanied by experienced rangers, hike into the rainforest in search of mountain gorillas. Once located, you will spend one magical hour with them before returning to your lodge.
