Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Today, catch the morning flight from Zanzibar departing at 8:00 am to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival in Arusha at 9:00 am, your driver guide will pick you up, and you'll head to Tarangire National Park. Immerse yourself in the wildlife experience! Your overnight accommodation awaits at bougainvillea safari Lodge. Lunch and dinner will be provided, along with daily provisions of drinking water per person.

Covering an expansive area of almost 2,500 sq km, Tarangire National Park is renowned for its substantial elephant populations and iconic baobab trees. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River flowing through its midst. Particularly striking during the dry season (June - November), when wildlife concentrations rival those of the Serengeti, the park becomes a focal point for immense populations of elephants and other animals drawn to the Tarangire River as their primary water source.

Often referred to as the eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater stands as the largest intact crater globally. Over million years ago, the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, causing its walls to collapse. The sunken volcano floor formed a natural enclosure with towering walls reaching 600 meters. Now, spanning over 20 kilometers wide, the Ngorongoro Crater features vast areas of acacia forest, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands.

These diverse habitats host over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and various predatory cats. The Maasai can also be observed grazing their cattle alongside buffalo and wildebeest.
