Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast population of elephants and iconic baobab trees. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through its terrain. Particularly striking during the dry season (June - November), Tarangire boasts wildlife concentrations comparable to the Serengeti, with substantial numbers of elephants and other animals converging at the Tarangire River, their primary water source. The park, with its diverse habitats and the constant flow of water in the Tarangire River, provides a habitat for over 2,000 elephants and hosts a variety of 500 bird species.

Ngorongoro crater
The Ngorongoro Crater stands as the world's largest intact crater, formed around 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, leading to the collapse of its walls. The sinking of the volcano floor resulted in the creation of a natural enclosure surrounded by towering 600-meter walls. Currently spanning over 19 kilometers in width, the Ngorongoro Crater showcases diverse landscapes, featuring expansive acacia forests, swamps inhabited by hippos, and open grasslands. These varied habitats provide a home for a thriving community of over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all predatory cats. Additionally, the Maasai people can be observed grazing their cattle alongside herds of buffalo and wildebeest.
