Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

At 8:30 am, we will retrieve you from your hotel and commence our journey to Tarangire National Park, accompanied by a packed lunch. Enroute, we will traverse open plains south of Arusha town. Tarangire, particularly during the dry season from May to October, boasts the highest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. The wetlands in the southeast part of the park harbor over 300 bird species. With a lower influx of tourists compared to other parks, Tarangire's expansive savannah is adorned with thousands of baobab and acacia trees, providing a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Africa's wilderness and savor its tranquility. A full-day game drive awaits, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Fig Big Tree Lodge.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we'll head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we'll descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We'll head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore, attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and your overnight stay are at a public campsite.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

The Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, we will descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day safari tour. The Ngorongoro Crater, sustained by a year-round water supply and ample fodder, hosts a diverse array of wildlife. Among the many species found here are wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. The park is also renowned for its high concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards, which may require a keen eye to spot. This is the sole park where observing more black rhinos is notably easier than in any other. Lunch will be enjoyed at the picnic site. In the afternoon, after our meal, we'll ascend from the crater and journey back to Arusha or the airport.
