Transfer to North Serengeti for Game Drive

Your adventure begins with a transfer from Arusha to North Serengeti (approximately 6-7 hours by road). Along the way, enjoy the scenic drive through rural Tanzania, passing through villages and open landscapes. Upon arrival in North Serengeti, one of the prime areas for witnessing the Great Migration (depending on the season), you will embark on an afternoon game drive. This area is known for its dense wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, and predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The vast landscapes, with the Mara River flowing nearby, offer dramatic settings for wildlife sightings, especially during the migration season when wildebeests and zebras cross the river in their annual trek. After the game drive, check into your lodge or tented camp, where you’ll spend the night under the stars.

Full Game Drive in North Serengeti

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for a full-day game drive in North Serengeti. The early morning hours are ideal for spotting predators such as lions and leopards, which are often active at dawn. As you explore the park’s diverse landscapes, you’ll also encounter herds of wildebeest, gazelles, and buffalo, all moving across the Serengeti plains. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration period, you might witness spectacular river crossings, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your guide will take you to various areas of the park, ensuring you have the best opportunities for wildlife sightings. A packed lunch will be provided, allowing you to enjoy a break in the wilderness before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Transfer to Central Serengeti & Full-Day Game Drive

After breakfast, you’ll transfer from North Serengeti to Central Serengeti (approximately 3-4 hours by road). Central Serengeti is known for its dense population of wildlife, including the iconic big cats, such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, along with large herds of elephants and wildebeests. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive through the park. Your guide will take you to some of the best wildlife viewing spots, where you’ll have the chance to see predators hunting, herds of elephants, giraffes, and buffalo, along with a variety of bird species. Central Serengeti is often considered one of the best areas for game drives due to its relatively high concentration of animals. You’ll enjoy a packed lunch in the park, surrounded by nature, before continuing your adventure. After a day of wildlife exploration, return to your accommodation for the evening.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Transfer to Arusha

On Day 4, you’ll transfer to Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 3-4 hours by road). Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a natural caldera that is home to an exceptional density of wildlife. After arriving, descend into the crater floor for a game drive. The crater offers a unique opportunity to see a variety of animals in a confined space, including the endangered black rhino, elephants, lions, and buffalo. You may also encounter flamingos in the crater’s lakes or spot cheetahs hunting on the open plains. The lush landscape and high concentrations of wildlife make this a perfect location for animal sightings. After your game drive, you’ll begin your transfer back to Arusha (approximately 2-3 hours). The tour ends upon your arrival in Arusha, where you can relax or head to the airport for your departure.
