Once we’ve picked you up from the airport, hotel, or residence, we will drive you north through central Kenya. The picturesque countryside will be a lovely introduction to the country as you watch everyday life played out in the towns and villages that line the roads.
Upon entering Samburu, you will immediately have the opportunity to start spotting the stunning animals you have come to visit. This short game drive will take you to your accommodation in the park. After lunch, a more extensive game drive will be undertaken.
Samburu boasts riverine forests and a landscape you won’t encounter again as you progress through your safari. This is your first chance to explore and become acquainted with the fauna of these grasslands.

Full-Day in Samburu National Reserve
You'll enjoy breakfast and head out for a game drive. Samburu’s landscape is dominated by the volcano of the same name, which will be the backdrop to your exploration of this park.
The neighboring park of Shaba will also form part of your day’s game drive. Its challenging landscape will add to the genuine African safari experience. The rugged park, dotted with trees and characterized by rolling grasslands, hosts beautiful landscapes where nature plays out her cycles.

Samburu National Reserve - Aberdare National Park
Your day will start early with a game drive through Samburu before breakfast. You will have the chance to see the transition from darkness to daytime across the savannah, with the animals of the day awakening while the nocturnal creatures return to their slumber. As you leave Samburu, you can say farewell to the reserve as you take a game drive toward the exit. You will arrive at Aberdares National Park in time for lunch, which will be preceded by another game drive.
Your afternoon will consist of a trip across the park to Ark. The decks and balconies of this place overlook a watering hole and salt lick, so there is plenty of wildlife to watch. Over 250 bird species are in this park, many on display here, along with elephants, hippos, waterbucks, and plenty more.
To round off the day, you will return to the Ark Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Aberdare National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
Another early start will again allow you to hear the dawn chorus as day breaks over the plains of Africa and awakens the animals. After breakfast, you will head out through the Great African Rift Valley and make your way to Lake Nakuru National Park. Here, you'll have a high chance of seeing both white and black rhinos, critically endangered yet making their homes and continuing their species’ legacy in the park.
An afternoon game drive will also take in the lake this park is named for. Massive flocks of flamingos feed and nest here. They arrive in such numbers that the water becomes obscured by the shades of pink and magenta of the animals displayed across the water.

Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve
On this safari day, you will wake up for early morning breakfast, check out, and set off for Masai Mara National Reserve, which is approximately a 5-hour drive. You'll arrive in time for lunch and check-in. Later in the afternoon, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive at the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the Eighth Wonder of the World, the great wildebeest migration. Here, you'll be looking for many animals, such as lions, leopards, Masai giraffes, lions, cape buffalos, cheetahs, elephants, and many more.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Mara Maisha Camp.

Full-Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
You'll enjoy an early morning breakfast, as today shall be a wildlife-viewing extravaganza! You'll traverse the Masai Mara National Reserve on a full day of unlimited wildlife viewing, encountering the Big Five and more of the lesser game. Masai Mara National Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the natural world. It hosts the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals compared to any other regional wildlife park. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for wildlife-viewing activities.
A picnic lunch will be by the Mara River as you watch hippos, crocodiles, or maybe the great migration (July – October).
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Mara Maisha Camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi
After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge/camp, your dedicated driver-guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi – Kenya's colorful capital city. On the way, your guide will point out the Longonot extinct volcano, a strato volcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. It is thought to have last erupted in the 1860s, and its name is derived from the Maasai word Oloonong'ot, meaning "mountains of many spurs" or "steep ridges. "
You'll arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch. Later, the driver-guide will drop you off at the airport for your flight back home or your Nairobi Hotel.
