Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be greeted by your driver and transported to Arusha town. The journey to your hotel will take approximately 45 minutes, ensuring a convenient and efficient transfer. This allows you to relax and settle in after your long flight, preparing you for the exciting adventure ahead. Your overnight stay will be at Jevas Hotel/similar.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

The safari to Tarangire National Park starts at 8:30 am for about 2 hours. This park is often referred to as the "home of elephants." You have a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, lions, giraffes, and even tree-climbing pythons. After a full-day game drive in Tarangire, later in the evening, you will drive to Manyara(Mto wa Mbu) for dinner and an overnight stay at Panorama Camp/Fanaka Camp.

Early in the morning, you will wake up with an early breakfast and drive to Lake Eyasi which will take two hours. This place you can experience the real bushmen where you will go with them for hunting they are called Hadzabe. Later, you will meet another community (Datoga). This community they are blacksmith who can show you how they can make some ornaments through the local way. After those activities, you will drive to Mto awa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay at Panorama Camp/Fanaka Camp.

You'll have an early breakfast at 8:00 am and a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest migration, herds of lions, and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the heart of Serengeti at Seronera Public Camp.

From early in the morning, you will do a full-day game drive in Serengeti searching for big game animals with different actions like fighting, playing, killing, and mating. You will continue with a game drive until sunset when you will drive back to the camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Seronera Public Camp.

You'll wake up early in the morning and drive for 2 to 3 hours to Ngorongoro Crater. Here you can do a game drive inside the crater which is the only place you can spot black rhinos and all big game animals like buffalos, elephants, lions, and so many animals. Lunch will take place at the picnic site on the crater floor. In the afternoon, you will drive to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay at Panorama Camp.

On this day you will visit local people living in this place with a walking tour of the banana farms and rice farms. Later, you will have a chance to see and taste local food and local beer (brewer) made from bananas called “Mbege.”
After walking you will do a biking safari around the village and towards the lake shore with a close view of Lake Manyara.
At lunchtime, you will go back to the camp for lunch and pack for the drive to Arusha Jevas Hotel/similar.

You'll drive from Arusha to Olpopongi which is a name from the Maasai language given to a cactus tree. This village called this name because of the many cacti in that area. Here you will experience the culture of the Maasai people, see how they run their whole life, sleeping at a real Maasai house, dancing, learn they use the environment to get local medicine for a full day when you will have dinner and an overnight stay at the village in the local houses Olpopongi Village.

You'll have a morning breakfast before driving to Moshi for a visit to Materuni waterfalls. Situated on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, this village, owned by the Chagga community, was the first place where coffee was introduced to East Africa. You'll engage in the coffee-making process, from picking the cherries to peeling, washing, drying, pounding, roasting, grinding, and enjoying a cup of organic coffee. The locals use traditional tools and techniques, ensuring a chemical-free and low-caffeine coffee experience. Afterward, embark on a 45-minute walk through an open forest to admire the stunning 90-meter-high waterfalls. You'll take a dip in the pool, though beware of the cold temperature due to the elevation. You'll indulge in the local banana beer, made from bananas and millet, as you absorb the unique cultural flavors. Materuni waterfalls are the longest in the Kilimanjaro region, promising an unforgettable natural spectacle.

After breakfast at 9:00 am, the tour will start at Kikuletwa Hot Springs. You can swim in the springs. The water has natural hot springs from the rocks as long as Mt. Kilimanjaro is a volcanic mountain. You will have a nice view of Mt. Kilimanjaro all days of this tour. Later evening, you will drive and be dropped off at the airport. This marks the end of your 10-day Tanzania budget camping safari and cultural tour.
