Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

After breakfast in your hotel in Nairobi, you will be picked up by your professional guide and depart the Nairobi region for Masai Mara, with lunch en route. We drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can take photos and enjoy a great view of the valley. Proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve and have lunch in Narok town.

This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famous for their spectacular wildebeest migration and home to the Big Five; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. On arrival, proceed for an evening game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver-guide. Dinner and overnight will be at the Lenchada Camp or similar.

After breakfast, enjoy a special cultural moment by visiting the Maasai people in their nearby villages with an English-speaking guide. Later, depart the Mara region for Nakuru with lunch en-route. On the main highway, you will have scenic views of Mount Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at the Hill Court Resort & Spa for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific birdlife, including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino, while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Later, drive to Amboseli National Park, famous for its scenery and backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro dominating the landscape and open plains. Arrive late evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast at the camp, an authentic African experience awaits you in this park. You will set off early to see the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro and then go on another extensive game drive before the clouds build up over the summit.

Amboseli is an excellent place to view many wildlife, such as wildebeests and giraffes. You will spend a full day in the park with a packed lunch. Later, you will return for dinner and overnight at camp.

After breakfast, proceed to Arusha, and if the weather permits, you will see Mount Kilimanjaro. Depart Amboseli for Arusha through the Namanga border for immigration formalities and board the shuttle bus to Arusha town. Arriving in the afternoon, our manager will pick you up from the bus stop and drop you off at the hotel booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis (dinner for your own cost).

Day 7

Arusha - Lake Manyara

After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and depart for Lake Manyara. After an en-route lunch, proceed for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Although small, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two-thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the groundwater forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the soda lake.

We enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodlands, and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is a birding paradise that has more than 350 species of birds. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight are at the Nsya Camp or similar.

Lake Manyara - Serengeti

After breakfast, we go to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro. We visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world - the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti means "endless plains", describing the park’s 5,600 square mile boundary. Yet, despite its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint with rich game viewing.

Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration which brings them from Central Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the "down-time", vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo. We enjoy a picnic lunch in this open arena as the lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals stalk their meals. Dinner and overnight will be at the Seronera Camp.

Day 10

After an early breakfast around 5:50 am, descend the crater at 6 am for a 6 to 7-hour game drive with a picnic lunch. We venture onto the crater floor for an up-close look at the residents of this World Heritage Site and enjoy a picnic lunch here. The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game viewing all year round. The wildlife here makes up a permanent population because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons. Later, depart for Arusha with lunch en-route, arriving early in the evening for your overnight stay at The Charity Hotel (dinner for your own cost).
