4-Day Best of Masai Mara & L Nakuru Van Safari

Nairobi City - L Nakuru NP

On the first day of the safari you will be picked from your hotel after morning breakfast, your safari driver will brief you about the safari and then embark on a drive of 3-4 hours to lake Nakuru national park. Upon arriving in the park you will check in at Lanet Matfarm Resort or similar, have lunch and go for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru national park is a bird watching paradise with many pink colored flamingoes which are spotted on the shores of Lake Nakuru. On the game drive you will not only see flamingoes but you will also see many animals which live in the park such as white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffe and many more.

After the game drive, you will drive back to the same hotel for dinner and stay overnight.

L Nakuru - Masai Mara NR

On the second day of the safari you will wake up for early morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and set off for Masai mara national reserve. Masai mara national reserve is the eighth wonder of the world for experiencing the great migration of wildebeest and it is also a home for many animals such as lions, leopards, Masai giraffe and many more. From Lake Nakuru national park to Masai mara national reserve it is a drive of 5-6 hours.

Arrival in time for lunch at Miti Mingi Eco Camp. Later, have an afternoon gamedrive in search animals such lions, leopards, cheetahs and many more. After the drive you will drive to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Masai Mara Game viewing

After morning breakfast at 6:30am in the morning you leave for a full day game drive with packed lunch. The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. Masai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the world. The reserve hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq. km than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of this tree studded savannah, its’ modest temperatures and diversity of wild game species makes the reserve a one stop shop for game viewing. We shall transverse the reserve on unlimited game viewing drives in search of the big five and more species of the lesser games. Our mid-day meals will either be picnic at Mara River the migration point where you will be able to see migration wildebeest taking place as the cross from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara.

Masai Village - Nairobi City

After breakfast, you will engage in an exciting Masai warrior training course, which involves traditional dances, stick fighting, spear throwing, or archery, specially organized by a Masai warrior. After this, you will have lunch then check out of the camp and board your vehicle for a drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening. Upon arrival, you are transferred to Jomo Kenyatta Airport or hotel to connect with your to your next destination.
