Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
Start your day with an early morning breakfast and set out at 6:00 am for a drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, descend into the crater floor, which spans 19.2 km in diameter, is 610 m deep, and covers 304 sq km, for an enriching session of game drives. The crater is home to the renowned Big Five (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant) as well as a myriad of other fascinating mammals. The soda lake within the crater hosts a variety of birds, including flamingos, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Take a break for a delightful lunch at the Ngoitoktok Spring picnic site.
Often referred to as 'Africa’s Eden' and the '8th Natural Wonder of the World,' Ngorongoro Crater is a colossal extinct volcano. Its towering, tree-lined walls descend thousands of feet to create a virtual "Noah’s Ark" of animals on the lush floor below.
