Tarangire National Park boasts a wide variety of flora and fauna, including a substantial elephant population, baobab trees, wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, ostriches, warthogs, and the characteristic acacia savanna. Notably, the park is a key location for the Great Migration of thousands of elephants, wildebeest, and zebras. Your safari guide will provide informative explanations about the park and strategically drive near the Tarangire River to observe animals as they come to drink. There are also opportunities to witness hunting, as predators often track along the river for food. In the evening, the safari guide will transport you your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, our journey continues to Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque high-altitude farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving behind the elevated landscapes, a brief stop at the Ngorongoro gate provides information about the area and an opportunity for memorable photographs.

Continue towards the crater viewpoint, pausing again to relish the magnificent panorama of the Ngorongoro Crater. Your knowledgeable safari guide will share insights into the crater's wonders, enhancing your understanding of the surroundings. Capture more picturesque moments before continuing the safari.

The journey then takes you into the heart of the untamed African wilderness, the Serengeti, with its expansive plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Traverse towards the central Seronera area, which is renowned as one of the park's most wildlife-rich habitats.

Day 3

Wake up early, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and then set out with a packed breakfast in hand to ensure you won't go hungry during your morning game drive. This is an excellent time to witness hunting, as predators are more active during the night and early morning. Your drive will take you out of the central Serengeti to the eastern (research) area, where you'll search for cheetahs, lions on the rocks, and various other animals. You’ll witness the spectacular sunrise over the Serengeti. The game drive continues until the early afternoon, at which point you can either return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or eat a packed lunch.

Later you will transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route, offering more opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and hyenas.

Day 4

After breakfast, your safari guide will take you directly to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll descend over 600 meters to explore the abundant wildlife within. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, sustained by consistent water and fodder, is home to diverse animals such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elk, warthog, hippos, and majestic African elephants.

This national park is known for its high concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. Spotting the leopard requires a trained eye. Your exploration will lead you to Lake Magadi, a vast shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner of the crater. This lake is a prominent feature, drawing large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and various waterfowl, creating a captivating spectacle.

We'll collect you from your Arusha hotel and head towards Materuni Waterfall, which is situated 2500 meters above sea level. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local safari guide, the journey will take you through the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering glimpses of diverse flora and fauna, including birds and chameleons. Along the ascent, you'll encounter lush landscapes adorned with coffee and banana trees.

Upon reaching the Materuni Waterfall, take the opportunity to immerse yourself in its pristine pools with crystal-clear water. Afterward, return to the village for an informative coffee tour, providing insights into the local coffee-making process.

To conclude the safari, we'll drive you back to Arusha or drop you off at Kilimanjaro Airport.
