Day 1

You’ll depart from Arusha after breakfast for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The journey takes approximately two hours, but we’ll pass through the market town of Mto Wa Mbu along the way.

After a brief stop at the village market, you’ll enter Lake Manyara National Park. The park is truly a photographer’s playground and offers some of the best game viewing in the world. You can expect to see many of Africa’s most well-known animals, with the tree-climbing lions a particular treat. These proud predators lounge in acacia trees practically begging to be photographed.

Bird-watchers will find Lake Manyara is an absolute delight, with a huge variety of birds on display in the park. Even the novice can expect to be amazed by large flamingo flocks, circling birds of prey, and the brightly coloured lilac breasted roller.

Accommodation is at Omega view lodge or similar hotel.

Consider optional stops at the Olduvai Gorge Museum, showcasing ancient human habitation evidence, or a visit to a Maasai boma for cultural experiences (additional cost).

After a delicious lunch at the Serengeti National Park picnic area, immerse yourself in the iconic savannah landscape. Witness the abundant wildlife roaming the grassy plains before settling in for the night at Tukaone Tented Lodge or a similar hotel. An exciting day of exploration awaits!

After breakfast, we'll drive through the plains of Togoro and Mbuzi Mawe kopjes, exploring the diverse landscapes of the Serengeti, from wooded hills to the open savannah. Keep an eye out for wildlife, ranging from the small dik-dik to towering elephants and giraffes. Upon reaching Kogatende, we'll search for the Wildebeest Migration and the Big Five. Rest for the night at a tented lodge, surrounded by the wilderness of the Serengeti. An exciting day of exploration awaits!

After breakfast, our game drive begins in the Kogatende area, focusing on kopjes for carnivores and observing the Wildebeest Migration preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya. The Mara River, home to hippos and crocodiles, poses the last hurdle for the migration. With luck, you might witness the thrilling river crossing. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in the heart of the Serengeti National Park.

Day 5

After breakfast, we hit the road back towards Ngorongoro Crater National Park. Our journey retraces through the Serengeti via an alternate route, providing ample opportunities to spot the wildlife you may have missed on day two. The landscape unfolds with thousands of animals in herds—migrating wildebeests and zebras, elegant giraffes, bounding antelopes and gazelles, mighty African elephants, and the revered predators.

Keep a keen eye out for slender cheetahs, elusive leopards, scavenging hyenas, and, of course, the majestic lion—the king of the animal kingdom. As the day progresses, we make our way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for accommodation and an overnight stay, surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of the region.
