Transfer from Kigali to Mgahinga National Park

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, Rwanda, your driver guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to brief you about the 3-day gorilla tracking tour at Mgahinga National Park. The tour will start with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay respects to the victims of the 1994 Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi. The visit to the museum will take around an hour and a half to two hours, followed by a scenic transfer of 2-3 hours to Mgahinga National Park in Uganda, exiting Rwanda through the Kyanika border. While at the hotel, you have the option to take a canoe trip, go for a community walk, or just relax by the shores of the lake and prepare for the next day's activities.. Mountain gorilla Trekking

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Mgahinga National Park reception for a Gorilla Trekking activity briefing. Following the briefing, you will be divided into small groups of up to 8 individuals, and ranger guides will accompany you on a trek into the forest to search for the stunning giants. Once a family of mountain gorillas is found, you will have an hour for an up-close encounter with them, during which you can closely observe them and take pictures. After this experience, you will return to the lodge to relax or take advantage of the different offerings available at the lodge.

Transfer from Mgahinga National park to Kigali

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali. The journey will take you through the Kyanika border and the Musanze district, where you will be treated to scenic views. Upon arriving in the city, your driver guide will drop you off at either a hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport, depending on your outbound flight. Marking the end of the tour.
