Farming tour
In this type of tour, visitors will be shown different varieties of banana trees and other crops in the area. In addition to that visitors will be told of the old irrigation system in the area and how it is managed by the local people.

After breakfast your tour guide will pick you up at the lodge/Camp start your tour around Karatu.
There you will start a hike to the Ngorongoro forest. You will take two hours hiking in the forested slopes area in the Ngorongoro conservation Area, there you will see an amazing waterfall, elephants’ caves which are created by elephant digging, you may see buffalos, bushbuck, waterbuck and baboons.
In the afternoon after Local Lunch in Karatu visit the Iraqw cultural center. These is a common community in Karatu and Karatu is their homeland. At the cultural center one will know the Iraqw
culture, there cultivation techniques, homesteads including the underground tunnels, traditional conflicts with the Maasai and you will learn mor about the Iraqw culture by interacting in their local markets to know how they run their daily lives.

Lake eyasi
After breakfast drive to Lake Eyasi a middly alkaline lake about 55 Km long. If you’re interested in bird watching Lake Eyasi is blessed with plenty of birds like Flamingos, pelicans, spoonbills, weavers, spurfowls, storks, barbets, egret and more. There will be able to visit the Hadzabe people who are known as bushmen, you will learn their culture of hunting in groups with bows and arrows for survival, they survive with what the environment provides. You will learn how they treat different diseases using their own medicine. You will visit their homesteads and learn more about them and hunt with them.

Visit Hadzabe
After breakfast you keep on exploring lake Eyasi area visit local fisherman and visit the Datoga tribe who are The Datoga community in Tanzania are a semi nomadic and pastoralist community of Tanzania who live in the northern part of Tanzania around the Manyara region. Datoga are also a Nilotic group of people and they live around Lake Eyasi as well as in the semi-arid areas of Tanzania. Marking on faces of the Datoga which are around the eyes are among the unique identification of the Datoga. You will see Datoga women grind maize flour in local method using stones and Datoga men doing iron smith using local methods and the other practice of men drinks honey beer on ritual occasions such as funerals.

Ngorongoro crater-departure
After breakfast our guide will take you down the Ngorongoro crater and experience the beauty of it and learn the interesting history of Ngorongoro where livestock, human being and wild animals interact together, also visit olduvai gauge which is a steep-sided ravine consisting of two branches that have a combined length of about 30 miles (48 km) and are 295 feet (90 metres) deep. Deposits exposed in the sides of the gorge cover a time span from about 2.1 million to 15,000 years ago. The deposits have yielded the fossil remains of more than 60 hominins (members of the human lineage), providing the most continuous known record of human evolution during the past 2 million years, as well as the longest known archaeological record of the development of stone-tool industries.
After visiting Ngorongoro our guide will drive straight to Arusha in a hotel waiting for the next day departure or straight to the Kilimanjaro International airport for departure.
