From JRO to Serengeti for a game drive

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your adventure begins with a scenic drive to the Serengeti National Park. After a brief stop for lunch, you’ll head straight into the Serengeti for your first game drive. The Serengeti is famous for its vast, open plains and incredible wildlife populations. Expect to see lions lounging in the sun, elephants roaming in herds, and perhaps even the elusive leopard or cheetah. As you drive through the park, your guide will share insights about the local flora, fauna, and conservation efforts. After the game drive, you’ll check in to your accommodation for a relaxing evening under the African sky.

Full game drive in Serengeti

On Day 2, you will embark on a full day of game driving within the Serengeti. This vast ecosystem is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos), as well as cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Depending on the season, you may be lucky enough to witness the spectacular wildebeest migration, where over a million animals travel across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Your guide will take you to different parts of the park, allowing you to explore the Serengeti’s diverse landscapes, from the open grasslands to rocky outcrops and riverbeds. The Serengeti's wildlife is ever-changing, offering fantastic opportunities for photography and making every game drive unique.

On your final day, you will depart the Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world's most famous natural wonders. The crater is a collapsed volcanic caldera that harbors a dense concentration of wildlife within its lush floor. Once inside the crater, you will enjoy a game drive where you may encounter elephants, zebras, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino. The Ngorongoro Crater's ecosystems, which range from grasslands to forests, create a perfect environment for a variety of animals. After an exciting game drive, you’ll make your way back to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) for your departure, concluding this remarkable 3-day safari.
