Day 1

The tour departs promptly at 8.00 am from the Stables Market Place on Sani Road, just outside the village of Himeville, therefore you should be ready by 7:45 am. You'll be immersed in the culture of the Basotho people at a historical trading post, and get a glimpse into history by visiting this small village. The Lesotho town Mokhotlong is a scenic hour-and-a-half drive from the Sani Pass Border Post. You will go Basotho Pony-Trekking in the foothills near Mokhotlong with your guide to the heart of a homestead to learn from these pleasant and warm people. Because Mokhotlong is so isolated, it has escaped the development that other cities in Lesotho have experienced. As a result, you may experience a truly authentic village in the ‘Kingdom in the Sky’. Your return via Sani Pass will be completed with a visit to Africa’s Highest Pub. You will return to Himeville around 6:00 pm.
