After the game drive, we'll return to the camp for a well-earned brunch before continuing to Ngorongoro, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the Natural World.” Covering 102 square miles with 2,000-foot-high walls, the crater acts as a natural sanctuary, home to nearly every species native to East Africa. It is one of the few places on the continent where you may spot the rare black rhino. The crater features a river, swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It is also famous for its massive elephants with impressively large tusks.
