If you're picked up from Kampala, we'll drive through a bumpy road from Nakawuka to Mabamba. If you're picked up from Entebbe, we'll take you through Port Alice to the Buwaya landing site with a ferry, after which we'll drive you to Mabamba along the bumpy road. At Mabamba, you'll board a motorized dug-out canoe and navigate through the swamp by following water channels. Our experienced crew will lead you to the best spots to see the shoebill and take amazing pictures. After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, we'll take you to the nearby Nkima Forest Lodge where you can indulge in a sumptuous lunch and relax in the swimming pool while soaking up the view of the beautiful birds and butterflies in the vicinity.
