After you arrive at the airport, you will be met by our guide/driver, meet and greet. Transfer to your booked hotel. Depending on your time of arrival you will have either lunch or dinner. Relax off the fatigue for the next days' adventure in the mist.

Kigali – Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast you will depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park in Butare. This town also hosts the National Museum, several academic and research institutions. En-route you will visit Nyanza, the former Mwami's palace (King's palace) and the seat of the feudal monarchy. The palace has been reconstructed to its 19th century state and shows a traditional dome that can be compared with the Kabaka's palace of Buganda in Uganda.
You will visit the National Museum which is one the well set-up if not the finest ethnographic museum of East Africa. It's a good source of information on the cultural history of Rwanda and the region. After the visit of the museum you will have a spectacular performance of the national ballet with the Intore-dancers. The performance is regarded by many as one of the highlights of your safari. You will have Lunch en route before proceeding to Nyungwe Forest across cute hilly sceneries modified by tea plantations en route.

Nyungwe Forest
Have an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. With a park ranger enter the forest for Chimpanzee trekking. Enjoy chimps viewing; as they swing from tree to tree, branch to branch and the little ones feeding on fruits or hiding behind their mothers. Follow them from nest to nest till you have had your full. Then either enjoy the Canopy walk or the waterfall trail walk in the forest before exiting it. A combination of all these activities or any one of these activities is a reward and a wonderful experience. Later return to the lodge for an overnight.

Nature walk- Volcanoes National Park
With an early breakfast, enjoy nature walk. (optional) This will be conducted in the company of a park ranger. On this nature walk search for the largest groups of colobus – enjoy viewing many monkeys in large groups and different bird species including; the Rwenzori Turaco. After the walk take a break and relax with a picnic lunch in the middle of the forest. You will drive via Gisenyi to Ruhengeri. Enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known.

Parc National des Volcans
After breakfast, you will drive to the Park headquarters for briefing by the guides before heading for gorilla tracking in the park. Tracking can be hard ad challenging hence requires physical fitness of the participants. Parc National des Volcans is a forest with hilly sceneries, steep slopes and swamps can make tracking a hard and tiring experience. Tracking can take as long as up to 9 hours of a walk in the forest searching for the gorillas. However an hour of interaction with this closest relatives to human is indeed a rewarding experience.

Parc de Volcanoes - kigali
Take a village walk to the Dian Fossey’s Karisoke Research Centre and visit local communities. There after drive to Kigali and transfer to Kanombe airport for your return flight.
