Upon reaching Ndutu, your adventure begins with a half-day game drive, pausing conveniently for a picnic lunch amidst the sweeping grasslands that gradually blend into the Serengeti landscape. Ndutu plays a crucial role in the annual migration of over 2 million wildebeests, along with thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles through the Serengeti ecosystem. From December to April, game drives offer glimpses of this magnificent migration spectacle.
Between mid-January and February, witness the remarkable calving season, drawing predators to prey on vulnerable young wildebeests. Ndutu is also the natural habitat for six species of big cats: leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, serval, and wildcat, ensuring thrilling encounters during your game drive, which concludes late in the evening.
Following the exhilarating drive, you'll proceed to your chosen accommodation, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits you.

Ndutu Migration of Wildebeest
Embarking on a full-day game drive after breakfast, you'll follow the migration's path, tracking its whereabouts throughout the day. During the appropriate season, typically from January to March, these drives unveil the transformation of the fertile plains into calving grounds and nurseries for the great migration. The Ndutu region is an integral part of both the magnificent Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
This period also attracts a multitude of predators, preying on the vulnerable young wildebeest. Observing the circle of life unfold before your eyes promises to be an unforgettable experience, leaving an indelible mark for a lifetime.
As the action-packed game drive draws to a close, typically around 5 PM, you'll make your way back to your chosen accommodation, where you can relish the stunning sundown with an amazing view.

Ngorongoro Crater World Heritage
After breakfast, your safari guide will transport you directly to Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll descend over 600+ meters to marvel at the wildlife below. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts a diverse array of animals, thanks to its year-round water and food supply. Here, you'll encounter herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants.
One of the highlights of this scenic national park is its abundant predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which may require a keen eye to spot.
Next, your safari guide will drive you to Engutoku picnic area near the hippo pool, providing an opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Facilities, including restrooms, will be available for your convenience. As the day winds down, you'll make your way back to Arusha in the late afternoon.
